Dami.B. Drops “My Prayer”

Damion “Dami.B.” Bankhead was born on April 5, 1990 in Decatur “The River City” Alabama. The Bankhead Boy was first introduced to music in church, like most southern artists. This was where he started playing the drums at a young age and his love for music just continued to grow from there.

Over the years, Dami.B. taught himself to several instruments including: the piano, standard guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, harmonica, and the violin. It wasn’t until around the age of 16 when the Decatur-native learn that he could sing and that his vocals were an instrument as well.

Dami utilized Soundcloud and Instagram for releasing his music. After being featured on several big IG pages, he was contacted by a casting associate from NBC’s “The Voice.” The singer auditioned for the show in Memphis, but was not chosen.

In 2018, Dami.B. decided to start releasing his music on streaming platforms. His first, official, single “First One Home” was dropped in July of 2018. This R&B hit was followed by another single, “You Can Be Loved”in November 2018. On January 9th, 2019, Dami.B. dropped his “Different Vibes” EP with the help of a few friends.

The “Different Vibes” artist believes music was intended to help people. He believes that there is enough negativity in this world and he refuses to add to it with his music. With his positive-like messages, Dami stands out from the mainstream music heard today. Dam.iB. believes his music isn’t for everyone, but it’s for everyone.
