ILL GORDON, best known for his raw delivery and clever metaphors, takes pride in lyrical prowess and creativity over gimmicks. Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, he is known for his fierce raps and keen punchlines.

Gordon is no stranger to the stage having performed alongside rap royalty including Talib Kweli, The LOX, Black Milk and Slum Village. He has been invited to high-profile venues across the country including the SXSW festival in Austin, and the A3C Festival.

Much of Ill Gordon’s legendary underground status was built as half of the rap duo SUBSTANCEMUZIK. The group introduced the world to their sound via the “Substance Series” mixtapes. They performed regionally at venues such as Chicago’s “The Mayne Stage” (the first and only Hip-Hop group to do so), “The Brass Rail” in Peoria, Illinois, “Cause Sound bar” in Minneapolis, MN and more.

In 2016, ILL Gordon released his first solo project, “Gordo” and “#Barzondeck” in 2017. His latest album, “ILLionaire” is currently available on all streaming platforms. He has two additional offerings in 2019 alone: the “#BarzOnDeck2” mixtape as well as the EP “CaILLgraphy”.
